Missed you this year chief. Just wasn’t the same in the Wimbly bunker without you. Also, the first year without a virtual Wimbledon — that too was sad.
Maybe next year Chubs can get you on board (contractually speaking) on behalf of the AELTC for another virtual tennis display. Wishful thinking.

Thanks Jay Its been a blast working with you all these years. You have awesome skills, a brilliant eye, ear and brain for design and the connectedness of ideas. I am always amazed as the volume of press photos that you get through and obviously you should be there in the pit taking those shots anyway !
Have a good tournament, and I will see if I can get up for the chewing of fat one evening

Ian, bruv, well put, I heartily agree with all that you have said, and it really isn’t the same here without you, believe. I have the fondest memories of sitting out in the gardens of various ‘mansions’ in Wimbledon chewing the fat with you long after we should have crashed out, or at the other end of the bunker listening to you tell the hordes of visitors all about SL – I never got bored of that, no matter how many times I heard it. Your presence is sorely missed. I must go, else I will have to endure the wrath of the Chubster when he returns to find me still pushing the same pixel as when he left…

Super post Ian, not only a magical trip down memory lane – but also a generous & considerate supportive message to the IBM team working on Wimbledon09!

…to think how few people were initially involved, together with the significant impact that your (renegade) work had on many corporate metaverse activities : it is impressive the continued impact of your many contributions. From innovative tools and new service offerings, to inspiring innovation (AND perseverance in face of adversity)!

I suspect that this topic might be discussed on a certain technology podcast… ;o)~
